We are all too familiar with the negative effects that the different pressures from work and life in general have on our minds and bodies. Linked to the release of the stress-hormones adrenalin and cortisol, stress raises our heart rate & blood pressure and weakens our immunity, gradually wearing down our health & well-being, inching us towards our 'stressed-out' zone and leaving us vulnerable to illness and disease.

Scientific Research - The RELAXATION Effect
A study (2009) at Harvard Medical School discovered that those who have a long term practice of deep relaxation methods, far more 'disease fighting genes' were active in relation to those who do not practice any form of relaxation. Researchers called it 'The relaxation effect'.
The state of deep relaxation is linked to higher levels of feel-good chemicals such as serotonin and growth hormone which repairs cells and tissue. Other benefits mentioned include; lowers heart rate, boosts immunity, reduces IBS symptoms.

They say 'Deep' relaxation is required (not a beer in front of the TV). Regular holistic treatments can help you achieve a deep state of relaxation.
